Olena Kholodova

Olena is a professional accountant and climate change strategy and disclosure expert. She combines her business and climate expertise to translate climate change risks and opportunities into business insights for companies transitioning to a low carbon, resilient economy. She works primarily in the financial services sector, leading climate strategy and disclosure projects. At Manifest, Olena leads a team of climate advisors to research, analyze and develop climate-related content that underpins the Manifest platform.
Prior to joining Manifest, Olena held various roles in financial and management accounting across Europe and North America. Her most recent role was a Business Controller with the world's leading publisher and information solutions provider. During this time, Olena became increasingly interested in supporting businesses integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues into their strategies to drive impact and align with financial goals. This led her to pursue a Masters' degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo where she researched the impacts of climate change on the Canadian financial services sector.
Olena holds an Administrative Studies degree with Specialized Honours in Accounting from York University (BAS) and Master of Environmental Studies (MES), Sustainability Management from the University of Waterloo. Olena is a Chartered Professional Accountant of Ontario (CPA, CMA).
