Drake Hicks

Drake Hicks is a seasoned investor and impact strategist with a passion for driving change in the climate sector.

Prior to joining Manifest Climate, Drake supported the growth equity investing team at Base10, a venture capital firm based in San Francisco. In this role, Drake also spearheaded the development of an internal ESG strategy to help differentiate Base10's capital for its founders and investors.

Before Base10, Drake served as Head of Impact Investing at the JPB Foundation, a USD$5bn private foundation in New York City. During her tenure, Drake developed the organization’s impact investing mandate from the ground up, investing USD$55mn across the verticals of poverty, environment, and medical research. In this role, Drake was also a champion of underrepresented entrepreneurs and invested heavily to support their success.

Drake began her career with the financial markets group at BlackRock in NYC. She also gained international experience valuing structured finance products and distressed assets in Singapore and at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt.

Drake earned her MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore and her undergraduate degree from Williams College in Massachusetts, USA.

She is also an active member of the non-profit community, serving on the boards of Reclaim Childhood, a non-profit that creates safe and inclusive spaces for refugee and local girls, and non-profit Harboring Hearts, which is dedicated to serving heart patients in New York City.
