Emile Lavergne

Using a multidisciplinary lens and drawing on his cross-sectoral experience, Emile simplifies the complicated concepts underlying the transition to a low-carbon economy. He supports organizations as they develop and improve their climate strategy, disclosure, and scenario analysis.

Emile brings over five years of combined experience working across the financial services, environmental non-governmental organization (eNGO) and sustainability consulting spaces, where he has focused on climate and sustainable finance topics. Emile has experience working with financial institutions and energy and utility companies as they progress along their climate maturity journey.

Before joining Manifest Climate, Emile worked as a sustainability consultant, after having spent time within TD Bank’s Corporate Environmental Affairs team and working for the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). 

Emile holds a Masters of Global Affairs with a focus on Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University where he double majored in Economics and International Development Studies. Emile speaks fluent French and conversational Spanish.
